I’m living in the ‘here and now’ with Mexico team - Man Utd’s Hernandez

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez was recently asked if this is the ‘most talented team Mexico has ever had’.

The Manchester United star helped El Tricolor win this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup over neighbours USA but he says he will not get drawn into comparisons on whether or not the current crop is the best there has been for Mexico.

“I’ve never liked making comparisons,” he told FIFA.com. “As a player you just have to do what your coach asks of you, and even more so at national-team level.

“I’m very grateful for the way I’ve been welcomed into the squad and the help I’ve been given. Every second I’ve played for El Tricolor has been great.

“I don’t live in the past, what drives me is the here and now.”
